As a multi-platform Director & Creative Director in the media, entertainment & technology spaces, I create unique digital experiences through the fusion of technology and storytelling. Having worked in and with almost every aspect of the creative pipeline including Agencies, Production, Post production & Digital houses, I understand clients business challenges and how creative thinking can be applied to solving them.
I have directed commercials, brand communications, TV shows, motion designs, visual effects, augmented reality and other digital productions for brands like: Audi, Blackberry, Apple, The OneClub, Appletiser, Fanta, Sasol, Cell C, Hansa, Castle Lager, DStv, The African Union, BP, Nissan, Nando’s & Metro FM, as well as co-developed from original concept, 3 animated children’s shows
Many of my projects are integrated, requiring delivery of cross platform components for digital and mobile platforms as well as traditional TV and print media. Always mindful of how and to who the work is targeted at, I continually push the idea further, ensuring the work is fresh, relevant and impactful.
In 2012, I was commissioned by the One Club New York to create, direct and produce film & promotional content for the One Show Interactive Awards which was broadcast live from the event to the One Club website with a following of over 50 000 of the most creative people worldwide.
In 2015, after 7 years as a business owner, I left Pollen Creative Media, an animation & post production company I co-founded & served as Executive Creative Director since 2008 to again reinvent myself and my role in the creative industry.
I am currently represented as a Film and Digital Content Director by Darling, through whom I produce interactive films, branded content, AFP, 2nd screen supplementary content & interactive components.
Between Darling projects I operate as an independent Creative Director, Designer, Animator, Compositor, VFX Artist & Colourist.
My 18 years of industry experience (with multiple media platforms) and a passion for storytelling has made me a sort after animation & digital content director.
