PROFILE

Curious, fun loving right brain meets, practical, process-driven, left brain. The left side has a strong background in visual effects, film and commercials. The right side, a long history with paint brushes, scale models and animation curves. My desk equal part battle field and playground.

 

Some would say obsessive, I prefer boundlessly inquisitive and a poor sleeper.

 

Primarily a VFX Supervisor/Director, Compositor and Motion Artist, I’m a multi-platform creative working in Nuke, Fusion, Resolve, After Effects and emerging technologies.

 

From high end visual effects to unique digital experiences and with 20 years of professional experience, I have worked in and with almost every aspect of the creative pipeline and produced commercials, brand communications, animations, motion graphics and visual effects for Audi, Lexus, Nissan, The OneClub, Cell C, MTN, ABSA, Hansa, Castle Lager, Flying Fish, DStv, Anglo American, The African Union, BP and KFC.

Whilst I love being a hands-on artist, I’m at my best when leading creative production teams.

  • 2021-2023 VFX Supervisor and Senior Compositor on a vfx heavy, historical drama series with Luma in Johannesburg.

 

  • 2019-2020 Senior Compositor and LookDev Artist on a long-form animation project. again with Luma.

Simultaneously,

  • 2016-2019 Independent Supervisor / VFX and Motion Artist / Animator / Compositor / Colourist for-hire.

 

  • 2015-2019 Commercial and Digital Content Director, represented by Darling.

 

  • Creative Producer in the emerging tech sector on direct augmented and virtual reality solutions for the entertainment, commercial, industrial and mining sectors etc.

I now operate from Amsterdam, Netherlands.
