PROFILE

A VFX Supervisor, Artist and Creative Producer pioneering the intersection of visual effects and generative AI — building new hybrid pipelines that keep storytelling at the heart of innovation.

I live in the space between disciplines, where storytelling meets technology and imagination becomes tangible.

My work bridges the precision of visual effects and the emotion of storytelling, blending cinematic craft with the emerging language of generative tools, from live-action sets and compositing to the frontiers of AI-driven imagery.

I see AI not as a replacement for creativity, but as an amplifier,  a way to translate instinct into imagery faster and more intuitively than ever before. My focus lies at that threshold where process and possibility intersect to create something new.

Every project, whether for film, series, or brand, is an opportunity to build a more fluid, collaborative, and imaginative future for visual storytelling.

Profile Picture

My toolkit spans both traditional and emerging technologies, from compositing and finishing in Nuke, Fusion and DaVinci Resolve, to design and animation in After Effects, Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite.

I manage production workflows through ShotGrid and Ftrack, ensuring seamless coordination between creative, technical and delivery teams.

On the AI side, I explore new creative workflows through platforms including, but not limited to, Midjourney, OpenAI, Nano Banana & Google Gemini, Ideogram, Adobe Firefly, Weavy, Kling, Sora, Seedance, Higgsfield, Veo, Hailuo, Runway, Luma Dream Machine, Enhancor, Magnific and Fylm, along VFX specific tools like Beeble and EbSynth, integrating them into established pipelines for generative pre-visualisation, concept development and look experimentation. I am also currently training in ComfyUI to further develop procedural and generative production workflows.

The goal is always the same: to fuse the precision of visual effects with the intuition of generative creativity.

INSIGHTS

"A can-do attitude to any challenge underpinned by a work ethic that pays great attention to detail and craft. Besides adding an interesting edge to anything he touches, there is an incredible sense of pride in the work which means that no job is just a job."

Rui Alves: Executive Creative Director Y&R  (JHB)

“Graeme's strength is that he gets consumer behaviour, he gets brand values, and he understands story telling. There are few things more enjoyable than someone taking your thinking, adding a sprinkle of magic and some deep behavioural and technological know how, to make it real. And better."

Ben Abramowitz: Strategic Director (NY)

"No matter how ridiculous or daunting my challenge to Graeme, it's never a ‘no’ but always an ‘okay crazy guy, we'll find a way.’”

Aviv Weil: CD DDB (JHB), MetropolitanRepublic (JHB), Facebook

"I can honestly say there are few designers that I have worked with who put so much love into their work - and it shows. Graeme loves a challenge and innovation, that rare breed of creative who takes full ownership of a project, the problem and the process. which is inevitably good for the final product and is an absolute pleasure to work with."

Jonathan Beggs: Executive Creative Director Jupiter, BrandsRock (CT)

"I have worked with Graeme for many years and no doubt for many more. Obviously quality is something I expect, so that should always come standard, and does with Graeme, whats different is that he doesn’t just churn out a highly-polished product, he does it with so much enthusiasm and pro-active thinking that inevitably whatever you brief him on ends up being better as a result.”

Graeme Jenner: CD Net#work BBDO, ECD King James II (JHB)
